American Battlegroups: NW Europe
The North West European (NWE) period covers the Normandy invasion of 6th June 1944 right up to the end of the War in the Spring of 1945. From the time of the Allied landings at Normandy and the subsequent breakout from the beach-head, the Allies fought their way into the heart of Europe and finally met the Russians coming in the opposite direction.
As with all my other battlegroups I'll keep a record of how they do as well as presenting some 'Lessons Learned' along the way.
We have severely underestimated the Russians, the extent of the country and the treachery of the climate. This is the revenge of reality.

If you want to win the battle then you better have the better tanks, they can make the difference between success and failure in combat.
